Summer Time!!

Summer is such an exciting time in so many different ways, especially if you are in school. If you’re in school that means you are about to be out for summer vacation, and you get two whole months to do whatever you want without having to worry about school! It’s an exciting time of the year because it’s warm, there’s no school, & you get to have a lot of fun!

The school year is ending, but whats next? For most of the graduating seniors college will be the next step. They have been going to school for most of their life, and now its over. they will get shoved into the real world as a tool in society, but is that all? Luckily I’m only in 10th grade and about to be a junior so i have a few more years of being babied, although High school is almost over for me as well.

Most high school students after graduation go off to small town community colleges, or technical schools, or even the military. Some high school graduates may even go straight to the work force, but thats not a wise idea. Before they go off to college they have some time to think on what they want to do for the rest of their life. When they finally go off to college they realize that their life will never be the same, they will never go out to eat with the family every time, they will never sit down to eat a freshly cooked dinner with their family every time, and they may never see their high school freinds again.

But after four long years of college, if you pass all your classes, you will get your college degree. Then you will get a job and go off and make a life for yourself. Nobody will tell you what you can and cant do. Whatever you plan for today will be you future tomorrow

The Beginning of Maturity

Well, it’s the end of another school year. I have to say, I’m kinda sad to see it go. A lot of my friends that are seniors are graduating and moving to college. I’m going to have to get a job soon as well. The end of this year symbolizes the beginning of adulthood for me. Yes, I know I have two more years before  I graduate, but I’m starting the road to maturity.  Continue reading

salute to my friends and the end of the year.

I’m only a sophomore, so i’m kind of stuck in the middle. not quite a high school newbie, but certainly not where I’m going. All of my friends are seniors or juniors, so the end of this school year is hard on me. I’m losing many of the best friends I’ll ever have,  and the ones I get to keep around me are leaving next year. I may not know what its like to know its my last year of school or that I have one more to go (like my junior and senior friends), but soon I’ll be able to know what it feels like to finish my race. So instead of talking about what the end of school means to me, I’m going to share a poem I wrote for my senior friends and just my friends in general as we part ways for the summer. To the best friends I’ll ever have, I love you guys and have a great summer and rest of your lives. Continue reading

Another Year Down

I can’t believe it’s almost over; this school year has a day and a half left. I can remember August like it was yesterday: the first day of school, getting my class schedule, and reuniting with friends. This year has gone by so fast that it amazes me. I remember that Football practice used to last until after dark. Basketball would be over in about an hour. The difference was something that was easy to get used to; however, growing up will be harder to get used to. Continue reading

The Next Step

High school. A very pivotal part of the lives of everyone in the country and the world. Getting up early for school each day, complaining about how bad it is, having fun with friends all at the same time, and always waiting for summer. But, what happens when you have completed your high school career?

The Next Chapter

I can’t believe my Senior year of high school is finally drawing to an end! Looking back, I reminisce starting my first day as a freshman and how the time has past so quickly. From being shy in middle school, I eventually figured out the person I am and developed into the young woman I am today. High school has helped me with many things such as social skills, hard work ethic and who your true friends are, not just for the time being but a lifetime friendship. You find out where you fit in and who exactly you want to be around.

In your Junior and Senior year is where I believe you grow the most in these years of growing. Most our starting the first job, buying their first car or studying hard for the ACT. After high school I plan to work full time until I attend college in January 2014. I want to become a Dietician or a Dental Hygienist. This summer though, I plan to go after my one and only dream and that is to become a recording artist. It’s been my dream since I can remember and I will never give up no matter what. After all, you have to hear a lot more no’s til finally you get that one yes that will catapult you into your wildest dreams. As I have gotten older, I know who I am and somewhat what I want in life.

After these years of school fade away, there are still many things that will always remain with me. The teachers, child hood friends, the early morning smell of Mrs. Brown’s coffee, Coach Hill’s loud voice, all the senseless stupid drama, dreaded tests, and those unbearable seats! School has taught me a lot and it hasn’t always been easy. Sometimes it was miserable and sometimes you felt like giving up but that was never an option for me. Preserving was. I am proud to see how far my fellow students and I have become to where we stand now. I am so grateful for all the ones that helped me through school. I couldn’t have done it without patience and guidance from others.

I am thoroughly excited to be graduating with these people I have grown up with and have got to known ever since we were little kids. Once I walk across that stage, I will start the next big chapter in my life. It is kind of scary but we all have to spread our wings and fly. And my time is now! CONGRATS CLASS OF 2013!!!!

School is Over!!

Yay! The school year is almost over. I am currently a sophomore at Forrest High School and it has been a great year. I Am looking forward to this upcoming summer and the fact that ill be a junior next year.

Summer is finally here. 120px-BZECAYEMost people look forward to summer. Just because  we don’t have to wake up so early and the fact that we have no homework or classes. I love summer just because of the vacations, warm weather , and getting to get in water. Summer is my favorite season.

Knowing that I’m going to be a junior next year has some ups and down. The good thing about being a junior is that I’m almost done with high school, time really does fly by quickly. The only downside of being a junior is that the  classes will get harder and more homework. On the bright side of being a junior is we will go to prom, get our class ring , and senior pictures. I am looking forward to next year and what it has in store.

Moving On

It’s safe to say that I have had my fair share of problems this school year. I’m not a dramatic person, but it seemed every time I looked up there was drama surrounding my name. Continue reading
