No More High School!!

Its the end of the year and many people will be returning next year for more school but not me. I will be one of many seniors graduating this year and moving on with my life. Some will miss high school and some will not.

Acts of Evil Within The Boston Marathon

  People run on marathons for many reasons. They run for benefits, fund raisers, races, or just for fun. The thought of someone killing and injuring hundreds of innocent people is pure evil .

     The Boston Marathon is an annual marathon that has been around for many years and two bombs were detonated during the race, one being near the finish line. There were also two bombs found before they were detonated. No one knows why or who did this, but they were determined to hurt a lot of people and possibly send us a message. Hopefully they are caught and brought to justice.

Cock Fighting

Cock fighting has been aroun for a very long time and there are many different breeds such as: hatch, kelso, grey, claret, black, roundhead, etc… . Now in this century cock fighting is very illegal and people caught doing this are charged with animal cruelty. Cock fighting is a felony in 39 states.

People who fight roosters use razors strapped to the birds feet called gaffs. These blades cut very easily into the opposing rooster some may lose eyes, get punctured lungs, and horrible cuts. People have been doing this since the 1600’s. A cockfight is held within a fighting ring and left until one wins and the other dies. People will bet thousands of dollars on one of these fights. Cockfighting is considered the oldest spectator sport it dates back in Persia.

 

Why People Need Comfort Food

Comfort food is something people feel like they need when depressed or stressed. There are many different types of comfort food such as fried foods, desserts, sweets, fast foods, baked goods. People eat these foods to comfort themselves or make them feel better about certain situations or themselves.

Public Radio

      Public radio was first succesful in 1878 by David E. Hughes. He was the first to send out and recieve radio waves when he noticed that it made noise in the reciever of his telephone. Radio was the most popular thing before television cam along around the late 1920’s.

Ecoli in your food

E coli comes from a drink / food that is kept at the wrong temperature and has been setting to long. E coli is bacterium found in warm blooded animals including humans. E coli are everywhere no matter where you go restaurants, bathrooms, keyboards, etc… There are several strains of E coli such as E. coli O157:H7.

You can become infected after eating at a restaurant or drinking contaminated water. Restaurants do not regularly check their food for the right temperature. It can cause severe diarrhea and nausea and may cause someone to become weak.

Effects of Divorce on Children

Divorce is a terrible thing that no one should have to go through especially children.Children no matter what age take most change harshly. Children with divorced parents most likely have behavioral problems and become agitated easily. They may even get to a point where they do not want to do anything at all.

Children may suffer for years from psychological and social difficulties associated with continuing and/or new stresses within the post divorce. Children within young adulthood (teenager) may stay away from social groups in school due to divorce. children with divorced parents may score lower on measures of academic achievement. These children may become depressed after the parents have divorced and may not want to do schoolwork or go out and hang out with friends.

Divorce is a cruel thing and many families go through it. many children have to face the thought of their parents splitting up. the parents are not the ones who suffer its the children.
